I always find autobiographies fascinating in terms of the description of the person’s developmental history, but also for their perception of the world. Stephen Shore’s book is recommended as a source of information and inspiration for all those interested or involved with Autism and Asperger’s Syndrome. Although he did not speak until age four, Stephen now has postgraduate qualifications in special education, and he has developed a reputation as a conference speaker. In the foreword, Arnold Miller describes Stephen as a remarkably sensitive person, and this becomes quite apparent in his writing. Most of the autobiographies have been written by women and it is important that men have the opportunity to describe their perspective.
