Dealing with Emotions

The Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER) distribute a video titled Dealing with Emotions.

The video has 32 vignettes shown over 63 minutes that illustrate normal adolescents expressing feelings in ways that are either socially appropriate or inappropriate. Although not designed for individuals with Asperger’s Syndrome, the situations and responses are applicable to this group. The vignettes promote discussion and different ways of coping with emotions. The video can be used with social skills groups and individual and group Cognitive Behaviour Therapy. Resource material in this area is rare and this is a video that I recommend for encouraging emotion management skills. For more information contact ACER at: sales@acer.edu.au.
