Becky Ottinger has written a resource that can be used both at home and school that explains, in alphabetical order, many of the characteristics, issues and concerns of children with a particular group of syndromes that can occur in the same child. From my extensive clinical experience I have identified children who are first diagnosed as having Attention Deficit Disorder later recognises having signs of Asperger’s Syndrome and then develop characteristics of Tourette’s syndrome and obsessive-compulsive disorder. The definitions of the various terms and assessment programs for such children are excellent and a valuable resource for parents and teachers.
